Gerstein Science Information Centre

The Gerstein library has benefited enormously from several major donations in recent years with the addition of the Morrison Pavilion and renovations to the two Gerstein Reading Rooms.

Current priorities for development are to:

• Renovate and refurbish the information commons area and the Wallace Room on the main floor of the Sigmund Samuel Wing to provide 30 additional workstations (bringing the total to 76 workstations); new ergonomic furniture for all workstations; and energy efficient windows.
• Renovate and refurbish the south reading rooms adjoining the Gerstein Reading Room in the heritage wing to provide two study areas, one for graduate students and one for general study for all library patrons.
• Expose the original outside stone wall to the left of the entrance to the Gerstein Reading Room.
